The two Dark-bellied Brent Geese that arrived yesterday at the North End on their own were near but still slightly apart from the remaining 39 Pale-bellied Brents (see below).
A single White Wagtail appeared mid morning as did a Wheatear and a single Willow Warbler was caught and ringed along with three more Linnets that have been arriving in good numbers over the last week.
A Peregrine haunted the waders on the East Hoyle and sat in one of the usual spots on the sand for a while (see below).
A single Sandwich Tern was noted between the island and the West Hoyle sandbank where the Grey Seal haulout had increased to 312. On the main island the first flowering Marsh Marrigolds could be found.
